My Story
I have been writing for over 35 years and have an extensive background as a working writer including managing editor for an international children’s publisher, writing specialist for a major Southern California city’s parks and recreation department and water department, and a special section editor for a California newspaper. As a freelance writer I have worked in the field of photojournalism and have had my articles and photos published in magazines and newspapers. I have had my short stories and poetry published, some winning first place in writing contests. My children’s mystery stories have appeared in Highlights for Children. I have been a contributing author of over 100 scientific biographies for Scientific Encyclopedia. I am also the author of over a dozen books.
I established my own publishing company, Lunada Press. I have taught writing/pulishing in classrooms K-12, through art centers, parks and recreation, and in one-on-one consulting sessions.
